My work supports both children and parents at once: parents learning how to de-escalate and respond in hard moments, and children receiving gentle support to build emotional balance, confidence, calm, and connection.
Affect labeling is the skill of naming what a child is feeling without fixing or dismissing the emotion. It sounds simple, and it is. That's part of why it works.
Here is what it sounds like in practice:
"You feel really frustrated." "You're feeling overwhelmed right now." "You feel sad and misunderstood."
Grounded in neuroscience and used in high-conflict environments, affect labeling helps calm emotional escalation quickly and effectively. Most parents find that once they have this language, emotional moments become more manageable. That small shift makes a big difference at home.
Fairy School is the child-facing side of this work, designed for children who are sensitive, imaginative, or have big feelings. Fairy School helps children build social and emotional skills through imagination, creativity, and experiential learning. These experiences are offered through Fairy Mail, Online Classes, In-Person Classes, Summer Camp, and One-On-One Sessions. Fairy School is not separate from the parent work. It is the reinforcement layer.
My work is grounded in over 15 years of international experience in education, emotional development, and experiential learning. I have worked with children and communities across the United States, Latin America, India, and Canada through empowerment programs, nonprofit organizations, and educational startups. I hold a B.A. in International Studies and Education from Middlebury College, Vermont (2011).
My training includes:
I am fluent in English and Spanish and work with families in both languages.
My approach is also shaped by early Waldorf education, where creativity, imagination, and connection to nature are central to learning.
